When did you start pursuing music?
I started pursuing music seriously in 2010. 

What is your musical education?
My musical education is both informal and self taught. When I was first learning,  I was hanging around a group of friends who were always encouraging me to play. Weekends were spent jamming around a campfire... it's a great way to get better! I spent a lot of time looking up chords on the internet and learning covers... I still do. I really improved once I met my husband and started playing open mics and eventually, gigs! 

What are your musical influences/favorite bands?
This is such a difficult question! Grace Potter is an influence of mine... her voice, her onstage presence... I would love to be her. It is way too hard for me to pick a favorite band. I am into so many different bands and kinds of music... but, I will say I am very fond of alternative music (I love WBER 90.5 FM) and stuff from the 90's.

What is your favorite venue or event that you’ve performed?
One of my favorite events to perform at is "Zoo Brew' at the Seneca Park Zoo. Everyone is always ready to have a good time, and that's always fun. I also love playing anywhere on the water!

What’s the craziest thing that ever happened to you on-stage?
Getting engaged!

What’s the best piece of musical advice you’ve received in your career thus far?
Hack your way through it.

What is your favorite part of coaching at ROC Star Academy?
Watching a student have a successful set at one of our showcases.  Especially if it's not quite perfect, but they keep going.
