Elvio Fernandes, founder of Camp ROC Star, is an accomplished singer-songwriter, as well as producer and recording engineer.  He is a self-taught singer, pianist, and guitarist.  He formed one of the area’s most successful and popular bands, Uncle Plum, in which he plays rhythm guitar, keyboard, and sings lead vocals.  The band sold almost 10,000 copies of their album worldwide.
Elvio has 17 years of experience on stage, where he has performed in front of thousands of people, all over the world.  He has composed and produced music for national and local television and radio advertising, working with companies such as Chevy and McDonald’s.  In addition, Fernandes worked with national recording artists, such as Chris Daughtry, Brian McKnight, Bucky Covington, Greg Howe, and Ace Young.  The first single for American Idol finalist Ace Young, “Scattered,” was produced and co-written by Fernandes, and reached the Top 50 on the US Charts.  Currently, he is writing songs with Grammy nominated and Platinum selling recording artist Chris Daughtry and Greg Howe, a world renowned guitarist who has toured and played with Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, N’Sync, and Enrique Iglesias, for an upcoming album.
